Renal angiomyolipomas, affecting up to 80% of TSC patients,1,2 occur bilaterally, are often multiple,3,4 and are associated with hemorrhage, renal insufficiency, potential renal failure, and even death.5,6

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) can be found in 30% to 40% of adult women with TSC1 and may lead to difficulty breathing, lung collapse, and respiratory failure.1,2
